July 26, 2003...Happy Anniversary to us! Four years have gone incredibly fast, with many changes and additions to our family. Last night, Dan, Car, Cam and I ate brownies and looked at the wedding scrapbook reminiscing about our wedding weekend in Duluth. Cami didn't remember much (she was just 3 years old), but she did remind us of our tradition of putting on our wedding dresses!! Carli was vehemently against putting hers on and she sat in the chair in the living room for a long time refusing (ahh, tweenagers) until she saw how much fun Cami and I were having jumping around and dancing in ours. "FINE!" she said eventually, "I'll put it on, but this is the LAST TIME!" (Ha! That's what she said last year!)

FAMILY VACATION TO LAKE GENEVA, WISCONSIN! We had a fantastic long weekend with Aunt Kate in her beautiful condo on Lake Geneva. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the kids spent countless hours in the pool and the lake. AK was a super-star, not only for putting up with all 6 of us for four days, but she babysat Brynn and Josh on several occasions so we could go off and do a few things with the girls. Thank you Aunt Kate for a wonderful vacation--we love you!!

A Date with the big girls Dan and I took the girls on a Waverunner adventure. D and I each had a 'runner and the girls rode with one, then switched half-way through. Carli and Cami were convinced I was the better driver (a little less aggressive than Dad!) until I about lost Cami off the side after hitting a huge wake! She held on to my jacket for dear life as both legs dangled in the water--and she didn't even scream (and that girl can really scream)! I scared the voice right out of her.

Aunt Kate and I took the kids to the Animal Farms and Gardens to check out the animals, ride a horse, and go on a hay ride as you see here in this picture series. I love the pic of Carli holding Josh. She's always got one of the younger ones on her lap...a very natural and great big sis.

The baby animals were sure cute and fun!
The kids all got a chance to feed a goat and a llama with a bottle. That goat sucked it down in about 10 seconds flat!

Look at me!! I'm a cowboy!

After finally convincing Joshua that the horsies aren't "scary" (see conversation with Cami below) Cam and J each hop on for a pony ride.

Come on, Joshy let's look at the horses!
NOOOO, CAMI! They're SCARY!
No they're not, they are nice.
I don't like those horsies--WAAAAAAAAAH!

It's pretty cool that these parrots can skate and bike, isn't it? The kids thought they were a riot!

The kiddos enjoy a bird show at the Animal Farm and Garden Center in Lake Geneva. Josh is also interested in giggling with Aunt Kate.

Yea Cereal! Brynn loves her "big girl food". Her favorites are sweet potatoes, pears and applesauce. The jury's still out on green beans (they are gross, if you've ever tried them) and peaches--very sour, her lips puckered and her eye blinked like I'd just given her a shot of JD! As my family is famous for saying, "She's a good eater!!"
