Deep Thoughts By Joshua John

Josh: Mom, who lives up in the sky?
Mom: I think God lives up there...He's watching over us right now.
Josh: (Laughing like crazy and shaking his head) No He DOESN'T, Mom! God doesn't live up in the sky!
Mom: OK, honey. Where DOES God live?
Josh: God lives EVERYWHERE!

You can't hear her, but Brynn is YELLING in these pictures! She has recently discovered how to be really LOUD!! (I think she's just making her presence known in a big family. Maybe Auntie Annie will teach her how to stand on her chair at dinner to get her chance to talk.)

Visiting Great Grandma Hertha
I meant to include this post with the others from Grandma and Grandpa's but for some reason Blogger didn't actually put them on my site. Oops.

We visited Great-grandma Hertha Sternberg in the nursing home in Fergus Falls. She recently fell and broke her pelvis. The kids brought a big smile to her face!

Just hanging out with the big sisters. Cami loves to hold BrynnBear and she often goes to her when Brynn is crying and tries to comfort her.

Car-car gives Joshy an airplane ride...they both are VERY dramatic with their facial expressions!

Earlier this month we visited Grandma and Grandpa Sternberg. The kids enjoyed hanging out with Cindy and Pat's boys Ryan and Dylan and Brynn was the "toy baby" as she was passed from lap to lap all weekend. We all had a wonderful time!

July 26, 2003...Happy Anniversary to us! Four years have gone incredibly fast, with many changes and additions to our family. Last night, Dan, Car, Cam and I ate brownies and looked at the wedding scrapbook reminiscing about our wedding weekend in Duluth. Cami didn't remember much (she was just 3 years old), but she did remind us of our tradition of putting on our wedding dresses!! Carli was vehemently against putting hers on and she sat in the chair in the living room for a long time refusing (ahh, tweenagers) until she saw how much fun Cami and I were having jumping around and dancing in ours. "FINE!" she said eventually, "I'll put it on, but this is the LAST TIME!" (Ha! That's what she said last year!)

FAMILY VACATION TO LAKE GENEVA, WISCONSIN! We had a fantastic long weekend with Aunt Kate in her beautiful condo on Lake Geneva. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the kids spent countless hours in the pool and the lake. AK was a super-star, not only for putting up with all 6 of us for four days, but she babysat Brynn and Josh on several occasions so we could go off and do a few things with the girls. Thank you Aunt Kate for a wonderful vacation--we love you!!

A Date with the big girls Dan and I took the girls on a Waverunner adventure. D and I each had a 'runner and the girls rode with one, then switched half-way through. Carli and Cami were convinced I was the better driver (a little less aggressive than Dad!) until I about lost Cami off the side after hitting a huge wake! She held on to my jacket for dear life as both legs dangled in the water--and she didn't even scream (and that girl can really scream)! I scared the voice right out of her.

Aunt Kate and I took the kids to the Animal Farms and Gardens to check out the animals, ride a horse, and go on a hay ride as you see here in this picture series. I love the pic of Carli holding Josh. She's always got one of the younger ones on her lap...a very natural and great big sis.

The baby animals were sure cute and fun!
The kids all got a chance to feed a goat and a llama with a bottle. That goat sucked it down in about 10 seconds flat!
